Anyone looking to get a little more out of something and has the courage to get it done can be considered a leader. The world needs people like this to run countries, businesses, and organizations like ours. If you are the type to put the first foot forward, maybe running for state office is for you.
Being a leader is a challenging but rewarding experience. While working alongside with my fellow officer team, I have learned many valuable skills. I have learned how to organize functions, develop a budget, formed important decision making skills, and learned how to become more practical and resourceful.
Of course being an officer is not all work! Mrs. McDaniel plans on having a good time whenever we get together. We always go out to eat, and have been known to play some games to relieve some stress. Even after a hard day of work, there’s some time to lounge around before going to bed. I think I may have made some lifetime friends this way.
If you can see yourself working behind the scenes or on stage running the show, I encourage you to fill out the officer candidate filing form. I can promise you that you will never regret the experience and friendships that will be gained.
