William P. Elrod Memorial Scholarship
This $300 scholarship has been made available through funds dedicated to the memory of William P. Elrod. Mr. Bill Elrod, a
founding father of TSA, passed away on April 3, 1990. Bill was the chapter advisor of madison HS TSA in Madison, Kansas; a
previous Kansas TSA state advisor; the Kansas TSA, Inc. corporate member; a former member of the TSA, Inc. Board of
Directors and the former TSA national advisor and national assistant advisor.
All donations to the William P. Elrod Memorial Scholarship Fund have been set up as an endowment with the annual recipient
receiving the interest accumulated each year. The scholarship is awarded each year to a TSA college or vo/tech school bound
student in good academic standing for outstanding service in the field of technology. The recipient of the scholarship will be
publicly announced at the TSA national conference. Recipients will have eighteen months to spend all funds in the scholarship.
The Awards Committee of the Board of Directors will select the winner of the scholarship by majority vote from amoung the field
of applicants. In the event no qualified recipients are available, the funds may be carried over until such time as they may be
awarded. Private tax-deductible donations are accepted for this fund.
