"TSA - Visualizing the Next 25 Years of Excellence" was the theme for this year's conference,
and the officers carried out the theme using Phillip Backus's (Clay
HS) winning design from last year's Promotional Graphics event.
The Crystal Ball design was seen on programs, as wall decorations and
table decorations for the banquet.
The state officers designed a skit where
Mrs. McD looked into her crystal ball and saw the future for each of the
officers - showing us what life might have in store for them in the next
50 years!
We also held a mini-Relay for Life during
the conference to earn money for the American Cancer Society - and to
introduce members to our national service project partner for the next
three years. WV TSA earned $1450.00 for ACS, with Clay
Middle School earning the award for Highest Team Donor and
Cindy Taylor
from Clay Middle School earning the
award for Highest Individual Donor by raising $200.00!
Everyone had a great time, and on
Saturday, over 100 students took home first, second, and third place
trophies and earned the right to attend the national conference at
Opryland in Nashville Tennessee! |
