June 24-28, 2007
This year’s
national conference took place at the prestigious Opryland Hotel in
Nashville, Tennessee for the second time in 3 years! The hotel featured sky lit gardens, spacious
ballrooms, an indoor river and watershow, and many restaurants.
The
conference took place over a four-day period from June 24th-28th.
West Virginia TSA members boarded the bus to Nashville
at 5 AM in the morning! Most arrived around 3 PM and immediately began
exploring the hotel and mall next door. Our first night began with the
mixer, where we exchanged pins with 48 other states and had a dance.
Competition started bright and early the next day, and continued fast and
furious for the next three days. We had a few evenings off, and advisors
planned trips for students to the Wildhorse Saloon and the Hard Rock Cafe.
Between general
sessions, competitions, trips, and much more, students had a great time. By the end of the conference, everybody was
exhausted! West Virginia was proud to have 15 finalists and two trophy
winners! |
