2005 TSA
National Conference in Chicago |

June 27-July 2, 2005
This
year’s national conference took place at the Sheraton Chicago Towers.
WV took over the 17th, 18th, and 19th floors with 167 people participating
from WV.
TSA members boarded
the bus to Chicago on Monday morning, and arrived about 7:00 pm that
evening. That gave students and advisors a head start on visiting
various places such as: the Navy Pier, Science and Technology Museum, the
Aquarium, the Sears Building, and of course - Hard Rock Café!
Students from WV entered a total of 128
different events, and were kept busy throughout the week competing and
visiting some of the over 600 restaurants in the Chicago area.
West Virginia did very
well in the competitions, with 56 individuals or team members placing in
the top ten out of a total of 128 students attending! That is
equivalent to a 40% finalist rate! Go WV TSA!! We
also brought home 3 trophies in the Top 3, and the 3rd place winner in
Middle School Formula 1 Teams in Schools! |
