June 20-24, 2004

This year’s
national conference took place at the prestigious Opryland Hotel in
Nashville, Tennessee. The hotel featured sky lit gardens, spacious
ballrooms, an indoor river with fish & ducks, and many restaurants.
The
conference took place over a five-day period from June 20th-24th.
The TSA Members boarded the bus to Nashville at 5 AM in the morning! Most
arrived around 3 PM and immediately began exploring Music City, USA. The
advisors set up trips to various places such as: Hard Rock
Café, Wild Horse
Saloon, Opry-Mills (a
shopping center), and the Springhouse Golf course.
On Wednesday evening, the American Cancer
Society Relay for Life was held, and West Virginia sported a very creative
banner. The 2003-2004 State Officers and Titus Schoolcraft from Clay High
School designed it, and everyone signed it! A few members walked the
entire two hours, and West Virginia donated about sixty dollars to the
American Cancer Society.
Between general
sessions, competitions, trips, and much more, Nashville was a very
exciting but tiring city! By the end of the conference, everybody was
exhausted! West Virginia was proud to have 16 finalists and five trophy
winners! |
