2000 TSA National Conference - Atlanta, Ga.

 In late June, students from around our state packed their bags and hopped on busses for a short ride (at least compared to last year's marathon bus trip) to Atlanta, Georgia. Everyone, advisors as well as students, had worked diligently to prepare for this conference, and finally the big payoff was in sight- a week of competition and excitement!
West Virginia once again proved to be a powerful force at the national level. Our talented members captured 3 first, 3 second, and one third place trophies and had finalists in an additional 14 events. Congratulations to everyone who competed!
In addition to experiencing the thrill of competing with students from all over the country, there was an opportunity to explore Atlanta. Members were given the option of attending many exciting activities including a Braves game, Six Flags Amusement Park, and tours of the Coca Cola factory and CNN studios.
Everyone will treasure all they have learned and the friends they have made. West Virginia's part in the 2000 National TSA conference is something we can all be proud of.
